Beast Rune

"One of the 27 True Runes, the Beast Rune symbolizes passion as well as fury and brutality. The Rune was originally in the possession of the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia, but following the formation of the Highland Kingdom, it was reportedly given to to Maroux Blight as a gift after he succeeded in quelling rebel forces during the Harmonian Civil War. The rune, in fact, moved to L'Renouille by its own will, forcing Harmonia to claim that it had gifted the Rune to the fledgling nation and later using this as a political tool.

Since then, and until the year 460, the Beast Rune had been attached to L'Renouille Palace. During the Dunan Unification War, Luca Blight sacrificed thousands of Muse citizens to the Rune, waking it from its dormancy and allowing it to make incarnations of itself. The spawn of the True Beast Rune appeared as feral golden wolves, attacking the city and the Allied Forces.

Following the death of Luca Blight, Jowy Atreides-Blight used his Black Sword Rune to keep the Beast Rune at bay, greatly weakening his own body. At the end of the war, the Beast Rune's incarnation was released by Leon Silverberg, who knew that only the approaching Allied Army, led by Riou, could defeat the monstrous incarnation.

After its defeat, the power of the Beast Rune became dormant once again and the Rune itself left L'Renouille. Its present location is unknown."
